<image:title>Home - Jim Dietz has been involved in the sport of rowing since he was 14 years old, growing up in the Bronx in New York City. He was given a great opportunity at an early age and went on to become one of the most successful scullers, rowers, and coaches of his generation. Jim earned a spot as the U.S. Junior Single Sculler in 1967, then went on to the Munich Olympics in 1972. He was also an Olympic single sculler in 1976 and 1980. Next he turned his attention to coaching, working with the U.S. Olympic Teams in 1988, 1992 and 2000. Beyond his involvement with the U.S. Olympic Teams, Jim worked with many other world-level teams and athletes. His passion has always been about the athlete – helping to achieve their goals – and his continued support for coaching young rowers is unparalleled. DIRA integrates the same lessons of commitment, teamwork, persistence and personal growth that Jim experienced through international rowing.</image:title>
